How Does The Plan B (Morning Pill) Work?

Plan B Side Effects

The Plan B pill (Levonorgestrel), also called the morning pill is taken after unprotected sex to avoid pregnancy. The Plan B pill reduces chances of pregnancy if taken within 3-5 days after sex.
The Plan B is not the same as an abortion pill like RU-486. The Plan B pill doesn’t cause an abortion or miscarriage, it will not work if you’re already pregnant.
It is common to experience some side effects of the Plan B pill that last for a few days.
